I was born in London, ON, 1974, and have lived all over the world in many places following my previous passion… food. After working alongside and learning from great Chef's, I eventually opened my restaurant - The Only on King. The restaurant was a success and we had many great years. However, it was time for a change and in 2012, when I met my wife Laura, I sold my restaurant and made the move to Toronto to take up something completely different, a Heritage Trade. As far back as I can remember, I have been obsessed with creating things out of wood and other natural materials. I always knew I had a passion for the traditional and old and that was the decision process to put food on the back burner and restoration up front. Working with my hands and restoring something old gives me satisfaction and helps create a bridge to the past and challenge me to match those incredible skills of the Victorian era. My time in Toronto allowed me to develop these skills while working for Hunt Heritage for 5 years.

Today, I am multi-skilled and still have the same passion for cooking, but now enjoy it at home along side my 2 children. After moving to Hamilton, ON recently, I discovered a city that truly needs more traditional trades with all the old buildings and homes. Using Lime mortar and putty, I am able to match the previous joint performance, texture and tooling. One of my masonry passions, English Tuckpointing, has been refined over the years and I now can replicate this lost craft with the same tools that were used during that era. I am comfortable with stone, brick and wood with a special interest in the late 1800's. I will continue to push myself and strive for excellence in the trade and if you have the right project, I am available to consult and execute the best restoration possible.
